Nola Nordmarken is a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified hypnotherapist, somatic-psychotherapist, consultant, teacher, lecturer, political activist and community volunteer. She is in private psychotherapy practice with offices in Pacific Palisades, CA and Pasadena, CA. She began her career as a psychiatric social worker in 1979 and has been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1987. She has studied animal assisted therapy and utilizes the services of her dog, Tasha, as a co-therapist with selected clients.
Ms. Nordmarken's approach is focused on assisting clients in their exploration and actualization of personal potential. She assists clients in honoring and integrating elements of body, mind and spirit through her approach. To that end, she utilizes elements of somatic psychotherapy from a theoretical framework that is generally adapted from object relations therapy.
