Patricia Frisch, Ph.D.
Patricia R. Frisch, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and MFT, orgonomic bio-psychotherapist, family therapist, and group leader. She has been a practicing Orgonomic Therapist in the San Francisco Bay area since 1976 and is expert in the application of characteranalytic techniques in group therapy. Her specialty is characteranalytic bodywork – the interface between defensive patterns, life-long conflicts, physical armoring, and stress related symptomatology.
Dr. Frisch has specialized in Mental Intention healing, including Surgical Assistance, at Marin General Hospital and California Pacific Medical Center. She was director of Counseling and Training Consultants, which provided communications training for inmates and staff, and supervised mental health professionals in California State Prisons for over 10 years, including a full treatment and training program at San Quentin. Dr. Frisch has trained and supervised graduate students and professionals from California universities in Reichian characteranalysis, Masterson's Disorders of the Self, dream analysis, somatic modalities, group therapy, couples therapy, and mindfulness practice. She supervises interns at Community Institute for Psychotherapy in San Rafael and is a member of the Order of Thich Nhat Hanh.
