Alessandra Maria Chiesa, Ph.D.
Alessandra Maria Chiesa, Ph.D. is a Florida licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified School Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Alessandra is Italian by origin, was born in Argentina, and raised in Mexico. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, and considers herself to be multiethnic and multicultural. Alessandra has provided psychotherapeutic and psychological assessment services for children and families in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Florida. In each of these states, she has taken a special interest in working with English Language Learners (ELL) students. Alessandra has worked for several elementary schools in Florida providing psychological assessment, crisis intervention, and in-school intervention and consultation services.
Currently, Alessandra works part-time in an elementary school providing psychoeducational assessment, as well as consultation and crisis services. She also has a private practice providing psychoeducational evaluation for children age 5-16. Alessandra’s areas of special interest are autism and bilingual assessments. She regularly presents on topics related to these areas of interest at state and national conferences.
