Adam Leighton is a mental health professional with a diverse range of skills and experiences. He is a qualified liCBT therapist and group facilitator, and has a keen interest in wilderness therapy. Alongside his clinical work, Adam is a lecturer at Ruppin Academic Center in Israel and has established a training program for ACT based group facilitation that incorporates outdoor experiential work. He serves as the chairman of Heads Up, a UK charity that provides mental health professionals with training in Cognitive Psychological First Aid (CPFA) and resilience training. Adam is also a group facilitator for Bshvil Hamachar and leads multi-day nature-based group intervention programs for combat veterans. He co-founded ‘The Centre for Remote Relationships’ with Dr. Arnon Rolnick to support mental health care professionals in transitioning to remote therapy. Along with Dr. Haim Weinberg and Dr. Arnon Rolnick, Adam has co-edited two books, namely ‘Advances in Online Therapy: Emergence of a New Paradigm’ (2022) and ‘The Virtual Group Therapy Circle: Advances in Online Group Theory and Practice’ (to be published in 2023) both of which are published by Taylor & Francis.
