The covid pandemic shed a national spotlight onto the mental wellness of our healthcare workforce. However, the issues medical professionals face – moral injury, high rates of physician suicidal ideation, exposure to cumulative trauma, unsafe staffing ratios, and stigma within the medical professions – existed long before the pandemic and continue presently.

In this panel discussion, Drs. Jessi Gold, Chase Anderson, and Anu Gorukanti shared valuable insights into mental health issues within the field, and discussed what they wish therapists better understood about the culture of medicine, stigma within the field, and how therapists might better support healthcare clients in therapy.
