Clinicians serving individuals across a wide range of settings are seeking to understand autism in broad strokes. For example, “What does social-emotional reciprocity look like?” “What if my client isn’t sensitive to noise?” “What might a fixated interest be in my client base?”

This two-hour webinar is designed for clinicians at an advanced introductory/ intermediate level who want to improve their understanding of the diagnostic criteria. Using a case study of a young adult female, Dr. Regan will point out how each of the seven diagnostic criteria manifest in a clinical setting. This focus of this training is on clinical observations and records reviews, rather than the use of diagnostic instruments to better grasp whether a client might be on the spectrum.

Target audience: This course is appropriate for mental health professionals

Content level: Introductory/Intermediate
