DESCRIPTION: Join us for an Author’s Talk – a timely and insightful conversation with Dana Ackley, PhD, author of *A Little Book to Save Humanity.* Dr. Ackley provides a refreshing antidote to the approach of the fear entrepreneurs – the folks on social media, in the news, and those politicians who enrich themselves by selling us on the idea that the world is a dangerous place – and that those who do not share our views are not to be trusted.
Through compassion, humor, and wisdom amassed from a lifetime of being first a therapist and then an executive coach, Dr. Ackley will discuss why and how fear sells. Even more importantly, how we can use Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to better manage disruptive emotions, develop resilience, and build healthier relationships.
Dr. Ackley will share practical strategies that professionals can use to help both their clients and themselves build stronger emotional awareness and self/other understanding.
This is sure to be a lively discussion with lots of sensible tidbits allowing time for your questions and reflections.
