Are you curious how it feels to participate in an online process or therapy group? Do you want to experience it before you open your own therapy group online or participate in a long-term group for your own self growth? Come to this webinar to observe/participate in a demonstration group, discuss its dynamics and ask all the questions you have, with an international expert of these groups.
Yalom said: “Every therapist should have a therapy group for themselves to prevent burnout and for their continued professional and personal growth.” Process groups are energizing, vitalizing, and an effective remedy for burnout as a therapist, both for the participants and the group leader.
In this webinar, aimed for all levels of experience, Dr. Weinberg will define what training process groups are, describe the powerful dynamics that govern them, discuss the online component and its impact, and bring clinical vignettes that will help participants to sense their power. He will also lead a demonstration group with volunteers and discuss the processes that we witness in this group.

Haim Weinberg (PhD) is a licensed psychologist in Israel and California, a group analyst, and Certified Group Psychotherapist in private practice in Sacramento, California. He is the past President of the Israeli Association of Group Psychotherapy and of the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society (NCGPS). Dr. Weinberg is the list-owner of the group psychotherapy professional online discussion forum. He served as the Director of International Programs at the Professional School of Psychology where he created and coordinated an online doctoral program in group psychotherapy.
Dr. Weinberg has published 10 books, 24 book chapters and 55 articles. His books have been translated into China, Japan, Romania, South Korea, the Czech Republic, and Israel. He co-edited a series of books about the social unconscious and wrote a book on Internet groups. His co-edited book “Theory and Practice of Online Therapy” was published just before the COVID-19 pandemic started. His new co-edited books are “Advances in Online Therapy: The Emergence of a New Paradigm” and “The Virtual Group Therapy Circle – Advances in Online Group Theory and Practice”. Dr. Weinberg has developed group therapy training groups in Asia and is leading online training process groups for therapists around the world.

This webinar will be hosted through Zoom. Upon registration, participants will be emailed a link directly from Zoom. The webinar will open 10 minutes prior to start time. It is recommended that you join early to give yourself time to troubleshoot potential connection problems.

Course completion requirements: After the webinar if you attended the entire webinar you will have access to the course in your My Courses. If you did not attend the entire webinar you will have access to the course withing 3-5 days when the video is uploaded to the course. You will be notified by email when the recording is ready.
In order to receive Live CE credit hours, you must attend the entire webinar and then complete the post webinar test and evaluation within 30 days of the end of the webinar.
If you pay and either miss part of the webinar or are unable to attend: Don’t worry. You can still obtain CE credits (though not Live) by viewing the recording and taking the post-test and evaluation. You will receive an email notification when the recording is ready for viewing, no later than 5 days after the webinar is over. You have 3 years to complete a home-study course. CE credits for psychologists outside of New York state will be provided by Sacramento Center for Psychotherapy. Sacramento Center for Psychotherapy is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Sacramento Center for Psychotherapy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
CE credits for all other professions including New York licensed psychologists, will be provided by Zur Institute.
