A Brief Overview of EMDR
Traditional talk therapy can have its challenges and leave clinicians feeling like you are not making the progress you want to achieve with your clients. While various treatments have evolved to meet the needs of people struggling to process traumatic experiences, few have shown the efficacy of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
Megan Salar, MSW, ACADC, an EMDR Clinician, Trainer and Author, in this introductory course discusses how and why EMDR is different than traditional approaches. She provides an overview of the EMDR model and how it can be applied in some of your toughest cases. Part of the intention is to help learners find out if EMDR is the right approach for you and your clients!
