Expanding Resourcing in EMDR: Client-Centered Phase 2 Strategies
Traditional EMDR resourcing tools like Calm Place and Container are foundational when first learning and implementing EMDR. However, there are times that these skills are not always effective for every client. This short, practical course is designed to help clinicians move beyond standard Phase 2 techniques and build a more diverse, responsive toolkit of resourcing skills.
Participants will explore creative, client-centered approaches to resourcing that tap into sensory, somatic, relational, symbolic, and mindfulness-based approaches. Whether working with clients who are highly activated, avoidant, dissociative, or disconnected from positive internal states, this training equips therapists with strategies to co-create meaningful resources that truly stick and increase their adaptive information.
Grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-based principles, this course offers tools for increasing stability, safety, and readiness for EMDR reprocessing—even in your most challenging cases.
