This course will explore topics such as: Common Claims Against Clinicians, Standard of Care, Assessment Techniques, Treatment Planning, Evaluating Risk Factors for Suicide, and Documentation, as well as other pertinent areas of concern when dealing with the suicidal patient.
This intermediate-level course is comprised of 2 parts presented in video, audio or text versions. They offer an in-depth analysis of the methodology of risk assessment and management when faced with potentially suicidal patients. Strategies to manage risk are presented, as well as how to assess and work with suicidal patients. Interventions, treatment planning and guidelines for documentation are also covered in this course. Additional resources and references are provided for further study, but they are not part of the course.
