New York Public Service Workshops Program (PSWP)

Before purchasing courses and creating an account to use this online resource, you must first register in the Statewide Leaning Management System (SLMS) at https://nyslearn.ny.gov using your NY.Gov ID login. You must be an active NYS employee whose bargaining unit is PEF or Management Confidential (M/C).

If you are not a PEF member or M/C employee and access this resource you will be liable for payment of any course you access. If you wish to access the Zur Institute courses please use www.zurinstitute.com

To enroll in SLMS, follow these steps:

  1. Click here to register (sign in required) for Zur Institute eLearning (with CEUs) in SLMS. You can also search Learning in the SLMS for PSWP_5086 to locate the course.
  2. Follow the steps to enroll.
  3. Obtain the approval of the supervisor assigned to you in SLMS.

The Public Service Workshops Program (PSWP) is funded through the negotiated Agreement between the State of New York and the Public Employees Federation and through additional Management/Confidential funds. The Program is administered by the Professional Development Program for the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs at the University at Albany, under contract with the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations.

The courses listed below are the approved courses for PEF and M/C bargaining units to access through PSWP. Bookmark this page to return to the approved PSWP courses.

While this resource is provided for you at no direct cost to you, PSWP incurs a cost. So as to not incur extraneous costs, please add only one course at a time and then add a new course after you complete a previous course. This will help program staff monitor costs of completed and in-progress courses and utilize program funds in the most efficient way possible. As a reminder if you are not a PEF member or M/C employee and access this resource you will be liable for payment of any course you access.
