DATES &amp; TIMES: All training modules to be held 8:30am-12:30 pm Pacific Time, 11:30-3:30 Eastern Time. Each session will be 4 hours in length. The first seven sessions will be held every other Saturday beginning August 24th, with a 4 week pause before the final session December 14th.
Both skills practice sessions will be held 1:00pm-4:15pm Pacific Time 4-7:15 Eastern Time on the same day as Modules 2 and 6. So that participants can earn CEs midway through the training series, the entire training is broken into 3 parts as follows:

There’s a lot involved in making decisions: Values. Existential issues. Self-image. Trust. Self-discipline. And narratives of powerlessness, destiny, and identity.
Many of our couples and individuals behave as if they don’t believe what they know. They make life choices accordingly, and then they’re surprised at life outcomes that anyone could see coming a mile away.
We’ll examine how people make decisions, evaluate decisions, and rationalize the results of their decisions. We’ll discuss how decision-making is shaped by:

DESCRIPTION: Couples therapy consists of dozens of clinical decisions every hour—hundreds of decisions over the course of each case. Here’s a practical training that will build the skills you need to make these decisions, and to continue fine-tuning your work as you discover each couple’s unique clinical challenges.
Most couples enter therapy with a specific vision of their problems. They may describe themselves as having “anger problems,” “sexual incompatibility” or “trust issues”. A skillful therapist will explore how the clients’ framing of their situation is keeping them stuck–and how they might change that. While looking at the most common topics in couples therapy, Dr. Klein will show you how to identify the powerful client narratives that keep couples stuck in their dysfunctional patterns.
Couples typically want to talk about content—who’s doing or saying the wrong thing regarding money, parenting, sex, or whatever.
