DESCRIPTION: Early attachment experiences wire brain circuits and create core beliefs (i.e. internal working models). Disrupted, anxious and disorganized attachment often results in shame, aggressive and toxic relationships. This training not only focuses on healing the mother-daughter attachment, but helping therapists help clients develop safe and secure relationships.

Clinical skills emphasized through utilizing specific intervention strategies include helping clients resolve loss and grief, develop more adaptive stress management responses, and improving parenting and familial relationship skills. Readings and handouts will be provided to facilitate the learning and ample time will be provided to ask questions.
