DESCRIPTION: Our world is changing faster than at any point in history, and the therapy environment is no exception. Many therapists don’t consider themselves technically inclined — and yet AI is reshaping the intimate landscape of human connection, whether we’re paying attention or not. Large language models have been adopted faster than any technology in history, and the reason isn’t hard to understand: they don’t just provide information, they offer comfort. That’s a potent combination for people who seem increasingly lonely, stressed, and mistrustful of their peers.
This series addresses the landscape therapists are now navigating. We’ll cover the technologies clients are using, how to engage clients clinically around AI, ethical and legal issues, ways to make our practices more competitive in a changing market, and the personal reactions most of us are having but haven’t had much space to talk about.
This is a 3-part series. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, recordings will be added to your account for your review and CE credit as your schedule permits.

Dr. Marianne Brandon is a clinical psychologist, Diplomat in sex therapy, author, and lecturer. She writes a popular Psychology Today blog, “The Future of Intimacy,” and co-hosts a podcast with her urologist husband, “The Sex Doctors.” Dr. Brandon is the author of Monogamy: The Untold Story; and Unlocking the Sexy in Surrender: Using the Neuroscience of Power to Recharge Your Sex Life. She co-authored Reclaiming Desire: 4 Keys to Finding Your Lost Libido. Dr Brandon regularly writes and lectures for professional and lay audiences. She is in private practice in Sarasota FL.
