3 CE credit hours. This training satisfies requirements for live CE credits for all professions except psychologists licensed outside of California.

DESCRIPTION: Most couples enter therapy with a specific vision of their problems. They may describe themselves as having “anger problems,” “sexual incompatibility” or “trust issues”. A skillful therapist will explore how the clients’ framing of their situation is keeping them stuck–and how they might change that. While looking at the most common topics in couples therapy, Dr. Klein will show you how to identify the powerful client narratives that keep couples stuck in their dysfunctional patterns.

This training will look at issues surrounding sexuality in couples. How can couples overcome their embarrassment when talking about sex? How can we help couples with contrasting views of sexuality? How can we help people accept their bodies as they are, enriching couples’ lives? How can we help people overcome infidelity and sexual betrayal?

Target audience: This training is appropriate for all mental health professionals
